Dr. Patricia Santos Beato

Dr. Patricia Santos Beato is the Application Specialist in Bioprinting at ReGEN Biomedical. She is focused on developing strategies to manufacture macro scale functional tissues. With a doctorate in engineering in Biomedical Engineering from University College London, she has a strong passion for 3D biomanufacturing strategies and their application in regenerative medicine. During her doctorate she worked on 3D bioprinting osteochondral tissue models for osteoarthritis disease modelling using various biomaterials and patient derived cells. Patricia is excited to be at the forefront of industrial research in tissue manufacturing, participating in EU horizon projects and developing new technologies for the scale up of tissue manufacturing.
