Dr. Nadja Hansen

Nadja is one of our Sr. Biomedical Engineers. She will implement a microfluidic system in the cultivation of the micro and macro tissues to raise the models to a higher level of complexity. She started her skills during her doctoral project at the RWTH Aachen. There, she designed a novel bioreactor that was used for the dynamic cultivation of 3D bioprinted vessel structures and tissues. This allowed for example the investigation of parameters of the metastatic cascade. Nadja is passionate about taking in vitro models to the next level to increase the impact of regenerative medicine and reduce animal testing.
