Marlou Knijnenburg

Marlou is a Cell Biologist at ReGEN Biomedical, where she contributes to the scalable production of functional micro- and macro tissues. Her work centers on process optimization strategies for the expansion of diverse cell cultures both at small scale and in large-scale bioreactors, supporting stem cell differentiation and robust microtissue manufacturing. Marlou obtained her master’s degree in Neurosciences from Utrecht University, where her research focused on the regenerative potential of stem cells to improve neuronal function in an in vitro model of hypoxic-ischemic brain injury. She is driven by a strong interest in advancing innovative research and technologies that enhance outcomes in regenerative medicine and help bringing scalable solutions from lab to industry.
